ARIV E-Bikes from General Motors Arriving in Europe

DOETINCHEM, the Netherlands – One of the world’s biggest car maker plunges into the electric bicycle market. At the beginning of this year, General Motors (GM) announced the launch of its first electric bicycles: the ARĪV Meld and the ARĪV Merge. These next generation urban e-bikes will arrive in the Netherlands on 21 June.

One Million E-Bikes Sold in Germany in 2018; Up 36 Percent!

BAD SODEN, Germany – E-bikes are boosting the German bicycle industry as the sales volume hiked by a staggering 36 percent in 2018 compared to 2017. No less than 980,000 units were sold last year. Today every one out of four bicycles sold in Germany is an electric one.

General Motors Launches E-Bikes at Leading European Markets

DOETINCHEM, the Netherlands – The huge popularity of e-bikes in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands was reason for General Motors to introduce its new ARĪV branded e-bikes on these markets. The name ARĪV was selected as part of a global crowdsourcing campaign announced in November 2018.
